Greensboro is in North Carolina, in the Southeast, where summers are long, hot and humid, winters are mild, and afternoon thunderstorms and the hurricane season from June to November can change plans at short notice. US addresses list the street number and name, then the city, state abbreviation and ZIP code, and Greensboro follows the same pattern; a suite or apartment number such as Ste 200 refers to a unit inside the building. The map link on this page shows the exact spot.

We loved eating here! The food was authentic. We got the Appetizer combo which had a little bit of everything, the moussaka, and galaktoboureko for dessert! There was also live Greek music πΆ. We will definitely be back!

I love this place! I've been here several times and had great food every visit. Service is usually good. Atmosphere is fine, especially on Saturday nights, when there is live bouzouki music! We usually get an array of appetizers and share around the table. The keftedes (meatballs), pork souvlaki, spanakopita (spinach pie) hummus, feta, and pita are all top notch. My favorite, though, is the saganki. It's halloumi cheese (I believe though, it could be kefalotyri) doused in ouzo and set ablaze. It's delivered to your table on fire, where the waitress extinguishes it with a hefty squeeze of lemon! Absolutely delicious with warm pita and a cool show. Acropolis opened in 1967 and has been a culinary staple of downtown for decades. I eat at fancier places downtown like Machete and Pangaea (both are great BTW) but for informal comfort food from one of the world's ancient and storied cuisines, Acropolis can't be beat!

We stopped in for lunch around 1:15 pm and we sat in the dining room. We were pleasantly surprised at the decor and even more so with our meal! Our server was great and we were even able to day hi to the owner and tell him how much we enjoyed our experience. We'll be back next time we're in town!

Our friends had their rehearsal dinner for their wedding here. What am absolutely gem of a spot! Jimmy and his family, who have owned the place since their parents opened it in 1967, opened up their party room for us. It's been closed since COVID. The food was sublime, sublime I say!, and the staff are all so lovely. You feel like family.

The food experience at the Acropolis Restaurant in Greensboro NC was average. The lunch menu offers a variety of Greek dishes, offering solid price and food choices. The atmosphere is average, staff working hard, food is average. The lentil soup was very tasty, feta cheese good, and the gyros was ok. The meat did not meet my gyros expectations. The vegetables were good. My score 4.1.
